Tari “Skyelar” Garrett
MSN, APRN, AGACNP-BC
Skyelar Garrett is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC) providing accessible, patient-centered care for adults across the Upper Cumberland Region and the state of Tennessee.
Her clinical background spans critical care, cardiology, surgical inpatient medicine, mental health, rehabilitation, dermatology, and geriatrics, with ongoing continuing education to stay current in cardiovascular care. She began her career across multiple levels of nursing — CNA, LPN, and RN — which shaped her practical, hands-on approach to patient care. At Garrett Health Services, she has a particular passion for cardiometabolic and cardiac conditions, post-cardiovascular surgical care, women's health, and POTS and autonomic dysfunction — but above all, she's committed to being a caring, attentive provider for anyone who needs one in their corner.
She also lives with POTS herself, an experience that shapes how she approaches patients whose symptoms have been dismissed or overlooked elsewhere — and part of why she built a dedicated POTS and autonomic dysfunction service here. Learn more about POTS care here.
A former travel nurse herself, Skyelar understands firsthand how hard it can be to maintain consistent care while relocating or navigating changing schedules and providers. That's part of why she's focused on telehealth — accessible, timely care without unnecessary barriers, and the same provider every visit, so you're never repeating your history to someone new.
